Wellness and Activity
Any physical activity that allows a person to improve their physical function, health, and well-being has benefits. Evidence indicated that adults can significantly improve their aerobic power, lower body muscle endurance, strength and flexibility, balance, agility, and gait through even light regular activity. Further evidence suggested that regular activity can improve lower body bone-mineral content and muscle power, as well as reduce the prevalence of falls and cardiovascular health risks. This can be especially important to older adults, people living with a disability or people that are mostly sedentary.
