Treatment

The treatment plan for a mental health issue, whether alone or accompanied by a substance mis-use issue or a developmental disability or both, is something that should be created by the one experiencing the illness, together with a physician, supportive family members and other service providers. A case manager is often brought in to assist an individual and their family to maintain and problem-solve a treatment plan as time goes on.
